This is Merry Maiden tied up to the pier next to The Center for Wooden Boats.

Tiare and Seaton working on the deck.

The transom had been suffering from
rot since 1969 and had been patched
to the point where it needed to be
completely removed.

To get to the deck beams (while
leaving the deck planking in place)
we needed to take off the covering
boards and the sheer planks.

Here's Candace, splitting out the
deck beams. It was a huge task.

All the deck beams have been replaced
and now the sheer planks are about to
be replaced.
